John McGuire – Chairman
John has over 20 years experience in IT and the Web and prior to founding Pulsion Technology in 1995 had consulted and delivered to companies such as BT, Microsoft, Halifax, Barclays and Scottish Power.
John has been responsible for the launch of several software products during his time as Pulsion, such as the market leading eSquiggles data collection software.
In 2000 John co-founded WeeWorld (formerly Saw-You.com) which is now an international award-winning social networking company with 24 million users. WeeWorld has been recognized by a number of leading publications as one of the most exciting new services for the Internet and mobile phones and during John’s realm received a number of coveted business awards including Fortune magazine’s ‘Coolest International Business’ award.
John’s key interests include keeping up to speed with technology, especially emerging web technologies, as well as anything to do with music!
Malcolm Shannon – Managing Director
Prior to joining Pulsion in 2007 to lead its successful growth strategy, Malcolm has held various senior positions in the IT Services industry. These include being MD of two divisions of Anite PLC – Anite Scotland Ltd and Anite Finance & Corporate; Scottish Director of CMG; Head of Business Process Improvement Practice in Bull; and Head of IT for the Student Loans Company.
Malcolm is a keen cyclist, enjoys hill-walking and appears to be Scotland’s longest suffering Partick Thistle supporter!
