Cloud Administrator / Systems Administrator

Pulsion Technology is an established and growing software development company focusing on cloud development and migration. We are an Amazon Web Services Consulting Partner and a Microsoft Gold Partner as well as an ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 accredited company.  We are based in Glasgow and work with a number of blue chip clients across a variety of sectors.

We are looking for a cloud administrator (or a systems administrator willing to cross train) to join our team. You will have some experience of system administration including administering Windows and Linux servers , installing and managing applications such as Office 365,  setting up and securing our company network with a desire to advance your career into cloud technology such as AWS and Azure. Much of your future work will be in cloud setup and administration as well as in DevOps for our team.

You will ideally have 2-5+ years in a cloud or system administrator role. We will provide training to get you to AWS certified level.

Applicant Requirements

Essential skills and proven expertise in the following:

  • Experience in system administration on Windows/Linux
  • Experience of managing and securing a company network
  • Experience in a scripting language, such as Python, to automate admin tasks
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills

Desirable Skills:

  • AWS/Azure or other cloud experience
  • DevOps experience
  • Source Control – GIT / SVN
