John McGuire

John founded Pulsion 25+ years ago and is responsible for strategy and innovation. He is passionate about technology and its ability to transform the world.

Keen musician playing guitar and piano. Also likes to play football.

Lorraine McGuire

I am responsible for controlling all of Pulsion’s finances and managing the finance team. Both making sure we pay our own bills on time and ensuring clients are invoiced as per agreements.

My hobbies are reading, hillwalking and running.

Fiona Macintyre

Fiona is Pulsion’s head of business development. In addition, she manages the marketing team to drive demand and business for both Pulsion services and our SaaS products.

Outside Pulsion, Fiona has an interest in anything craft related, particularly crochet and embroidery and is currently training to master her sewing machine.

Daniel Currie

Daniel is our Senior Project Manager and has been with Pulsion since 2014. He is responsible for some of our largest and most complex projects, as well as the maintenance of our ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certifications.

Francesca Bonini

Technical Lead Software Engineer with 8+ years’ experience and proficiency in delivering websites and custom solutions with C#, SQL Server, JS/TS, React and Node.js. During the past 6 years at Pulsion, I acquired experience on leading multiple development teams and building Cloud solutions, through the AWS platform and all the services it offers.

I have 3 beautiful cats and I love reading, taking long walks, swimming and travelling.

Hannah Beck

I successfully manage multiple software projects across various industries, conduct discovery sessions with clients to help define their vision and goals, and manage our software product Velappity.

My hobbies are reading and going to spin classes.

Catherine Beaton

I am part of the marketing team having started at Pulsion in 2022. I communicate with clients and create content and socials posts.

Outside of work, my hobbies are baking and reading.

Andrew Christian

I am a Senior Digital Designer that specialises in UX and UI Design. My other skills include graphic design, web design, video editing and animation.

Outside of work I’m a massive fan of retro video games and have recently started streaming on Twitch!

Laura Stewart

I handle Pulsion’s day-to-day financial matters. This involves maintaining the accounting system, producing reports, issuing invoices and following up with clients.

Hobbies that I enjoy are art and going to gigs.

Darren Kirkpatrick

I’m an apprentice Systems Administrator, my role involves managing Pulsion’s internal IT infrastructure and working on cloud solutions for our clients.

I spent most of my time outside work watching rugby and F1.

Alison Aird

Alison is a full stack senior software engineer and tech lead, with experience in a wide range of technologies including AWS and Azure cloud services.

Paul F

Lead Dev, responsible for multiple client projects.

In my spare time I like music.

Cameron Turner

Full stack software engineer specialising in React, NodeJS and AWS. I bring UI designs to life, build out API’s, databases or even infrastructure.

Outside of work, I enjoy football and badminton.

Helen Matheson

I am a Senior Software Engineer at Pulsion focused mainly on C# ASP.NET and Windows Service solutions with SQL Server or Oracle databases.

In my spare time I enjoy swimming and being a taxi service for my children.

Calum Maclellan

I’m a Software Engineer at Pulsion and I develop mobile and web applications. I work on Pulsion’s Velappity and Quilder products and on developing solutions for clients.

In my free time I like to go rock climbing and play guitar in a band.

Calum Whytock

Developer for customer’s specialist systems, and provides support and updates for existing clients. Specialises in back end and microservice development.

Loves to write music and play the drums.

I am a graduate ML engineer at Pulsion. My specialist area of interest is machine learning, and in Pulsion I do a combination of front end web development and machine learning.

One of my hobbies is playing 5-a-side football.

Joseph Hill

I’m a Software Engineer doing support and development with ASP.net Framework and SQL Server, mainly for the children’s mental health charity Place2Be.

I’ve been enjoying Brandon Sanderson’s books recently.

Mathew Legge

I’m part of the software engineering team here a Pulsion, having developed software for some of our client projects as well as our Velappity and Requiment products.

The best biscuit is the custard cream. No question.

Onorio Mancini

Junior Software Engineer working on both internal and client products specialising in Django (Python) and Machine Learning.

I enjoy Freestyle Snowboarding and in my early 20s competed in competitions all over Europe.

Paul Pearce

Development and support for NCH’s asset and waste management systems, on a multinational level. Web front/back end, services, and database systems.

Hobbies: climbing, running, music.

Stephen Brown

I’m on the software development team, doing a mixture of both front-end and back-end work. I began as mostly .NET oriented but have had lots of chances at Pulsion to branch out into other technologies too!

I like being outdoors – running shoes on, big blue skies and I’m happy.

Aayza Ahmed

I am a Graduate Software Engineer Apprentice within Pulsion so I study alongside working in various development teams and projects. I am at University of Strathclyde doing a Software Development BSc (Hons), I am currently in 3rd Year.

In my free time I enjoy playing sports and strength training such as powerlifting.

Gregor Morris

I am a Graduate Apprenticeship Software Engineer at Pulsion. My role primarily involves writing, debugging and testing code whilst simultaneously learning from more senior developers.

I love playing tennis and I have been playing since I was 5.

Josh Innes

As an apprentice software engineer I do a mix of working on projects and learning, quite often both at once.

Outside of work I love taking care of plants and aquatic animals.
